C&O Canal, WV and MD

The 184.5 mile long canal was built between 1828 and 1850 and stretches from Georgetown to
Cumberland, MD. In 1971 the canal became a historic Park. Today, the canal's towpath is a favorite of hickers,
joggers and bikers.
